Personally
My husband and I met when we were in high school and have been together for 15 years. We enjoy traveling, have visited France, and are hoping to plan a trip to Scotland in the near future.
I enjoy reading, role playing video games, escape rooms, board games, and spending time with friends and family. A common theme among my hobbies is a love of fantasy — from fantasy genre books to RPGs like Skyrim and Elden Ring, escape rooms like Sleepy Hollow, and strategy board games like Blood on the Clocktower. I have recently added stained glass making to my hobby list, which has allowed me to get in touch with my creative side.
Why Therapy?
When I was eleven, I was bullied by my peers and this experience had a profound impact on me. It changed the way I saw myself, other people, and the world. It hurt my feelings of self-worth and caused me to experience depression for the first time.
It was then I decided that I wanted to be a therapist, because I felt so alone in that experience. I didn’t want other people to feel that sensation — being alone in the face of intensely painful experiences.
At that time in my life, I wished I had had someone I could talk to who understood, empathized, and could help — and that’s the service I aim to provide for all of my clients. This career path is not just a job to me — I genuinely care about improving the mental health and lives of my clients.
