Ionatan Stan is a Registered Psychotherapist and has 15 years of clinical experience supporting individuals, couples, and families. Over the years, he has helped clients become more present with difficult emotions, understand the patterns underneath anxiety, depression, anger, stress, grief, self-esteem issues, and life transitions, and learn healthier ways to express feelings and needs.
In his couples work, he focuses on strengthening communication, reducing conflict cycles, and helping partners rebuild trust and meaningful connection in the relationship.
His approach is warm, steady, and collaborative, with an emphasis on creating a relaxed environment where clients feel safe to speak openly. He integrates evidence-informed methods and practical exercises, drawing from training in Self-in-Relationship Psychotherapy (2011), Emotionally Focused Therapy (2012), Narrative and Solution-Focused Therapy (2015), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (2015).

Get to Know…
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and our eight-year-old daughter. We love being outdoors—walking in nature, swimming, biking, rollerblading, exploring new places, and taking day trips and camping. We also enjoy cooking, listening to music, dancing, and relaxing around a campfire, whether we are camping or in our backyard. I also value quiet time alone in nature, self-reflection and stillness, reading, and listening.
Personally.
I chose psychotherapy because I have always been driven to understand the human experience and to support the people around me in becoming more grounded, clear, and connected. From a young age, I felt drawn to the inner life—what shapes us, what wounds us, and what helps us heal. I believe each person is part of something larger than themselves—family, relationships, community, and the wider world—and that many struggles make more sense when we see the person within that larger whole. My work is shaped both by formal training and by daily practices of introspection, observation, and stillness, which keep me honest, present, and committed to real change rather than surface coping.
